Description
Hardinge EMAG VL 5 vertical pick-up turning machine, built in Germany in 2001, with a Fanuc Series 21i-T control.
The inverted spindle loads itself: it picks the blank from the ring-shaped workpiece conveyor, machines it over the tool turret and sets the finished part back down, so no separate loader is needed.
It takes a 260 mm chuck and turns parts up to 220 mm in diameter and 110 mm long, with the spindle running to 4500 rpm. Travel is 570 mm in X and 200 mm in Z; rapid traverse is 60 m/min in X and 30 m/min in Z.
The turret has 12 stations and every one of them is driven, so drilling and milling are done in the same clamping as the turning. A chip conveyor discharges at the rear.
The machine measures 3770 × 2040 × 2400 mm (L × W × H) and weighs 6500 kg. Sold ex works Yambol, Bulgaria, plus VAT. It can be seen at our plant by appointment.
